Ingredients
- 4 cups Rice cereal squares
- 3 cups Corn cereal squares
- 3 cups Mini pretzels
- 1 1/2 cups Roasted peanuts or cashews
- 2 cups Cheddar crackers
- 6 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Chili powder
- 1/4 tsp, optional Cayenne
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- To finish Flaky salt
Instructions
-
Heat the oven to 250 F and line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment. In a very large bowl, combine the cereals, pretzels, nuts, and cheddar crackers.
-
Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Stir in honey, Worcestershire, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne if using, and kosher salt.
-
Pour the warm butter mixture over the dry ingredients in three additions, tossing gently after each pour so the seasoning coats everything without crushing the cereal.
-
Divide the mix between the prepared baking sheets and spread into even layers. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes and rotating the pans once.
-
Sprinkle the hot mix with flaky salt, then cool completely on the pans. It crisps as it cools, so resist the urge to pack it up while it is warm.
-
Serve in a big bowl or pack into jars and bags for gifting. Store airtight at room temperature for up to 1 week.
